People Place Nature is a creative multi-disciplinary Arts, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design practice founded by Paul Best.

Paul has studied and qualified in Landscape Architecture, Fine Art  and Urban Design and is an elected fellow of the Landscape Institute. He has been  working as an artist and landscape architect in Hampshire for the past thirty years, designing and creating a number of national award- winning public realm projects and initiatives which have included high profile public art works. These have been created in collaboration with a range of leading artists and also to his own designs.

Paul has long been an advocate of an ecological approach to landscape development, working with nature, drawing on public participation and focusing on arts and sensitivity to place. These themes have been the subjects of his graduate and post graduate research.

He has worked across private and public practice, most recently having been the Landscape Architecture group leader for Hampshire County Council’s award winning architectural practice. He can demonstrate a long and successful track record for designing and managing an exceptionally wide range of creative projects on time and within budget across educational, play, residential, care, leisure, commercial, urban regeneration, countryside and domestic sectors. This success has been achieved through energising all project team members to maximise the creative potential of both people and the projects and has been recognised by a number of high profile national design awards.
